Before you start

This guide assumes the engine and transmission are removed, the truck is on stands, and no high voltage components are installed. Structural mounts must be machined or metal printed from the approved materials in the Fitment Pack. Never 3D print a structural mount in plastic.

Tools and parts

Torque wrench rated to 120 N·m, thread chaser set, dial indicator, the C10 front motor mount assembly, four isolators, and eight M12 class 10.9 flange bolts.

Step by step

  1. 01Clean and chase the factory crossmember threads, then inspect for cracks.
  2. 02Dry fit both mount brackets and confirm isolator orientation arrows face forward.
  3. 03Install bolts finger tight, then lower the motor onto the isolators with a leveling hoist.
  4. 04Measure output shaft runout and angle with a dial indicator; adjust shims to within 0.5 degrees.
  5. 05Torque crossmember bolts to 95 N·m and motor bolts to 55 N·m in a cross pattern.
  6. 06Apply witness marks and record values in the assembly checklist.
